Upcoming Events in Germany and Poland

We recently shared the news of our expanding partnerships in Eastern Europe, and our new Authorized Distributor partner B2B. Together we’ll be offering an exciting opportunity to learn about eXo Platform during the upcoming Open Source Day event on October 14th.

Open Source Day is a unique virtual conference format. This means, although the event is organized and hosted from Poland, attendees are welcome to participate from any location. Registration is free, all you need is an internet connection.

eXo CTO Tugdual Grall will lead a presentation titled “eXo Platform: A Journey from the Social Intranet to Development in the Cloud.” In addition to an overview of eXo Platform features, Tug will explain how eXo uses industry standards to allow enterprises to extend the platform and integrate it into existing information systems. Attendees will also learn how eXo, the leader in cloud-based development with eXo Cloud IDE, offers an innovative way to build and deploy Java, PHP and Ruby applications, which can be integrated in eXo Platform or other cloud services.

eXo Summer Tour: At the Red Hat Open Source Day in Rome

eXo is coming to Italy! We’ll be presenting at the Red Hat Symposium Open Source Day in Rome, 14-June 2011. I will be traveling from our office in Tunis, and look forward to meeting people from the Italian open source community. I hope you’ll stop by the booth to say hello!

The eXo Summer Tour Begins: Upcoming Events in Belgium & France

What: Bull Seminar Featuring eXo and Bonita
Where: Cercle de Wallonie, Namur, Belgium

Bull, a Platinum Systems Integrator partner for eXo, is hosting a one-day seminar to introduce eXo and Bonita technology to enterprises in Belgium. This hands-on session will feature:

  • Best practices for integrating portal, content management and BPM solutions
  • How to use eXo Platform 3, the cloud-ready user experience platform, to efficiently manage content and its related workflows and social interactions
  • Customer and partner use cases will demonstrate how European companies, across a wide range of industry sectors, rely on eXo technology to build collaborative, portal-based solutions

Attending RIRI in Paris next week? Check out the eXo booth!

For those of you who are heading to “Rencontre Internationale des Responsables Intranet” (the International Meeting of Intranet Managers) in Paris next week, be sure you stop by the eXo booth. I’ll be coming in from our Tunis office, joining Marc Brassier (from our Paris office), 1-2 December at L’Automobile Club de France.

We’ll be meeting with our customers, partners, and others who want to learn about using eXo Platform 3 to build modern enterprise intranets with social and collaboration features. As the first and only user experience platform for Java, eXo Platform 3 provides many capabilities required for an intranet out-of-the-box, yet it can be extended easily with custom APIs to integrate with existing apps.

eXo’s technology is already being used to build collaborative, portal-based solutions for many customers in Europe, from e-government portals to enterprise intranets for telecom, finance, insurance and other industries. These customers chose eXo because they needed a flexible, scalable way to integrate third party applications, improve collaboration, and provide complete web content and document management tools – all within the trusted security of an enterprise portal.

eXo Training in Sao Paulo: 8-12 November

To support the growing eXo developer community in Brazil, we will be hosting our first-ever training in Sao Paulo next month, 8-12 November.  Both eXo Admin and eXo Developer courses will be offered in an intensive weeklong curriculum.

Earlier this week, our friends at 4Linux, one of the leading open source organizations in Brazil, featured eXo as a guest in their “BotecoNet Download” webcast series.  Oualid Chaker, General Manager at eXo, spoke to developers and architects about the content of the upcoming training, and answered questions about the new eXo Platform 3.  The presentation is available for download as a podcast on the 4Linux site.
